Where two young people from very different backgrounds crossed paths in a foreign land.
David was from Argentina
and had relocated to Spain following an Argentine economic collapse.
Jenny grew up in Ohio
and had traveled to Spain to study abroad.
These strangers in a distant land fell in love and were married in 2007.
Family Calls...
Moving to New Smyrna Beach to help Jenny’s family due to her dad’s serious illness, they decided to put down roots.
Their Family Grew
and now includes Olivia, Simon & Francisco.
Together they achieved the American dream of a family owned business.
Wake Up Cafe
The first location opened in 2013, Offering a mix of American classics and some of the amazing dishes from Davids homeland of Argentina.
Wake Up Cafe North
In 2017 they opened a second location on the North Causeway allowing them to serve even more locals and travelers alike.
And They Became Part of the Community
They feel so blessed to be a part of this amazing town. Jenny works for Volusia County Schools and David continues to delight their patrons with delicious dishes.
